A persona chart is a birth chart rebuilt around one planet. Instead of casting the chart for the moment you were born, you cast it for the moment the Sun reaches the degree that planet held at your birth. This calculator uses the year of your birth and your birth place.
The idea behind persona charts in astrology is simple. Your birth chart shows the whole picture, while each persona chart zooms in on one theme: the Moon for feelings, Venus for love, Mars for drive, and so on. The Sun acts as the light that makes that theme visible, so every persona chart has its own Sun sign, Moon sign, rising sign and houses.

- Scan the Sun, Moon and Ascendant columns for signs that repeat. A sign that appears in several charts is a strong theme in your personality.
- Read each persona with its theme in mind: the Venus chart for love, the Mars chart for drive, the Saturn chart for responsibility.
- Notice the contrasts. If your Moon persona and your Mars persona show different signs, you may feel and act in different styles, and that is worth reflecting on.
Why Birth Time and Birth Place Matter?
Your birth time and place decide the Ascendant, the houses and the exact date of each persona chart. The Ascendant moves through all twelve signs in about a day, which is roughly one degree every four minutes on average. A few minutes can change the rising sign, and a few hours can change the whole house layout. The Moon matters too. It travels about 13 degrees a day, so an error of a few hours shifts the date of your Moon persona chart. Planets that move slowly, like Saturn or Pluto, are far less sensitive.
Birth place sets the latitude and longitude used for the houses, and the time zone that turns your local birth time into the exact moment.
